|Don't Wear Me Out - Various Artists
NBT Records #877
NBT Records has released a new various artist CD entitled "Don't Wear Me Out". This compilation of great classic and garage rockers contains 25 tracks (plus a Bonus track) featuring 16 bands from both sides of the Atlantic. The Gas Hill Gang, Dan De'Armond and the Electros, Stateside Slide, Uncle Nic and the Alternators, Fireball Steven and The Hale Bops, The Hot Rockin Bopos, The Small Town Giants and The Tempo Toppers call Europe Home.
The Hellcombers, Skinny John and the Sawbucks, The Ranklers, The Gyros, KC and Friends, Bop Virus, and Big Galoot are from the USA. The bonus track is a live cut from a July 1966 Sock Hop. All of the tracks are previously unreleased songs and features many great musicians and showcases the works of some very talented songwriters.
Several of these cuts were recorded in a studio while others are the product of someone's basement or garage. Some are live performance cuts. This CD follows on the heels of "Hot Guitars" and "Ride The Train" which are previous various artist releases by NBT Records. Formed in 1967 this West Virginia record company strives to feature "new" artists as well as the veterans.
The registered trademark of NBT Records is a train locomotive and NBT is currently working on Ride The Train - Vol. #2 which features songs that employ trains as a topic (regardless of the genre of music). Original train songs may be submitted to NBT Records for consideration. NBT Records is also collecting Garage and Classic Rock songs for a follow up to their NEW CD "Don't Wear Me Out"...
If you like Classic Rock with some rockabilly flavor thrown in for good measure, then this CD just might be for you and it is available directly from NBT Records.
