I Ain't Ready, Rusty & The Dragstrip Trio
Wild Records RDST 0002

Press release:
Rusty and the Dragstrip Trio are back with their long awaited second release, "I Ain't Ready". Thrown into overdrive and firing on all cylinders, this is one album that will be sure to send you to the moon and back! Rusty and the boys deliver some crazy, wild Sun Rockabilly with "Maryanne", "Where Did You Stay Last Night?" and the killer opening track, "Rock All Night". Not short on originals, this 13 track album has great songs like the title track, "I Ain't Ready", a warm vocal track and great jive song sure to get your feet tappin'.

Rusty pulls back with some Arthur Crudup style blues including "Mama She's Red Hot" and the classic, "So Glad You're Mine". "Mean Mama Blues", Muddy Waters style, is a crazy slide guitar and bass driven tune that will sure make you think twice about sleepin' in someone's daughter's bed! Get down and dirty with "Boppin' Around" and dance to the knocked out beat of "Flip Your Lid". "Come on back to me" is a fast finger pickin' tune with sold drums and slappin' bass: nothin' but rockabilly - Pat Cupp style! The spooky tale of "Graveyard Bound" tells the story of a desperate man wailin' on his guitar. "Broken Heart" and the final track, Ray Harris' classic "Come on Little Mama", are hard drivin' rockabilly tunes that capture the wild and raw sound that is Rusty and the Dragstrip Trio.

Be sure to stick around for our hidden track: Rusty Pinto goes solo and acoustic. A dedication and favourite of the band. We are proud to present to you one of the wildest and best rockabilly bands in Australia and the World: Rusty and the Dragstrip Trio and their release "I Ain't Ready". Dig it! Also see the boys next year on their second USA tour and playing @ Viva Las Vegas No. 10 in 2007.

Review:
This second full length CD by Rusty and his Dragstrip Trio is as amazing as their first release in 2003 (read review). Old and authentic Sun sounds in a sparkling new jacket. Covers and originals alike, a feast for your ears. Rockabilly the way most of us like it best, with a touch of blues, including a terrific driving redition of my all time favorite "Broken Heart" (The Moonlighters). What more can I say... two releases and two five-star ratings well deserved.
